Are you scared to pattern mix? Does the thought of pattern mixing overwhelm you? Here are two recent bold and muted examples from when I attended LuLaRoe Convention and my thought process for why they worked and what accessory you need most when pattern mixing!
MY BOLD PATTERN MIXING OUTFIT
Since I became a LuLaRoe retailer, I have fallen in love with animal print. When I pulled this oversized 3xl Jill from my LuLaRoe video shoot, I knew I had to have it. I also felt this way about the camo print Amy.
So, when I was packing for Convention, I knew I wanted a bold outfit and these two pieces seemed like the perfect pairing. Since the Jill was slightly bigger around the waist, I borrowed a stretchy belt. I added a fun statement necklace with my favorite Freebirds shoes to complete the look.
MY “MUTED” PATTERN MIXING OUTFIT
With this look, I matched the green undertone from the Amy with the floral colors in this Jill. I did a pink and gold necklace with pink flats (because day 2 feet weren’t gonna wear heels). So you can always pattern mix using complementary tones like I did here. I kept the accessories simple too!
THE ACCESSORY YOU NEED MOST WHEN PATTERN MIXING
Confidence. Whenever I attend a LuLaRoe event, I see so many cool outfit combinations. I can’t think of when I’ve ever thought “that is bad pattern mixing.” The key is to be confident with your outfit and rock it. Did you see my post on Instagram showing my evolution with Convention outfits? The thing that upped the ante in each outfit was more confidence each year.
