I love highlighting my outfits on social media and posting 1-2 times per day. However, I sometimes start to run low on images to use. If you are a clothing retailer or boutique owner who utilizes social media channels to highlight outfits, this is for you.
Here are some tips to maximize outfit pictures for your social media channels to for when you feel you might be running low on using a variety of pics to keep your feed fresh.
Maximize Your Outfit Pictures
Layering
I always bring a layer with me to change up the look so I have 2 pics for different posts. If you look at my feed, you might see a few examples of this, but I also included a screenshot below. Always bring a layer and change up you look and background to make it seem like “fresh” content. Then I am able to use these days, weeks, or months apart.
Distance
Vary up your distances. Taking more up close pics can better highlight accessories, fabric, or details of your outfit. A little further distance can show a full body shot with variation in expression and posing along with the scenery and environment around you.
Movement
Move around in the clothes. Some action shots can show how certain pieces move. I love this picture highlighting the LuLaRoe long Sarah Cardigan sweater. It actually was even featured by the LuLaRoe official Instagram page.
Mass Photo Sessions/Shoots
I try and do 1-2 photo sessions per month. I usually will get my hair blown out, do my makeup and pack up with 4-5 outfits along with layers. My husband and I will choose a location. Once we set up in a spot, he will snap away on his iPhone. I save these photos on the cloud and use them for various purposes in my social media. These pics are used in Instagram, and even use outtakes for fun engagement posts in my VIP Community that you can join here.
